This trailer of Stanley Kubrick’s “A Clockwork Orange’ is an incredibly well made and unconventional trailer due to its time of positioning, most early 70’s film trailers of this period would have been as plot exploiting and illustrated with a comical voice over, like films like ‘Straw Dogs’ and ‘The French Connection’…





The factor I most particularly enjoy about this trailer is that it captures the disturbing and strange personality of the most and doesn’t misrepresent the film in any form or fashion. I agree with one of my favourite cinephile, critic and novelists theories in the video bellow…

Try and incorporate some more detailed technical analysis of the trailers - comment on genre....what aspects of the repitoire are included? Think about narrative - what themes are central to the genre? What about struss's theory of binary oppositions?

How has this research inspired you? What will you include in your production in light of this? What will you challenge and why?
